Sulphure Attendant  (Grade 14 )


To ensure constant supply of molten Sulphur to the burners in order to meet production demands.

LOCATION: Saiccor Mill, Umkomaas 

REPORTING TO the CHARGEHAND OPERATOR

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain high levels of safety and housekeeping in the plant by visually inspecting equipment and checking for spillages
  • Melt crude sulphur in order to ensure constant supply of molten sulphur to the burners
  • Offload molten sulphur from tankers as per sulphur offloading procedure
  • Start and stop the plant according to production demands
  • Visually inspect the boiler drum and adjust drum water level

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Communication skills
  • Team work
  • Knowledge of general health and safety risks and practices
  • Licence to operate a crane


REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 with an N2 in a related field.
  • 3-4 years relevant experience
