25 Years Keeping Trees Healthy

The ANNUAL MEETING OF THE TREE PROTECTION CO-OPERATIVE PROGRAMME (TPCP) will once again take place in Pretoria during the second week of May.  The meeting will be the 25th of its kind in a row - a remarkable achievement for Forestry in South Africa and an occasion to reflect on the many achievements of what has become the largest plantation tree health programme in the world.

The Programme for this year's TPCP meeting will once again include presentations from visitors from various parts of the world (eg Italy, Portugal, USA  and others), South African forestry colleagues as well as staff and students of the Programme.  UPDATES on the most important insect and disease challenges (Sirex, Leptocybe, Gonipterus, Fusarium and others) will be presented and there will again be good opportunities to discuss and debate the actions  required to ensure long term sustainability of forestry in South Africa.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING TWO EXCITING AND INTERESTING DAYS WITH YOU.

PLEASE DIARIZE THE DATES AS FOLLOWS:
Tuesday 13th May
08h00 for 08h30.  Coffee will be served! Followed by a full day of presentations.
Wednesday 14th May
08h30 to 12h30 Formal presentations. These will be followed by the TPCP Board meeting and tours of facilities for non-board members.

A reminder, preliminary programme and registration documents will be sent out soon.  In the interim, if you have any questions regarding the meeting, please contact Madelein van Heerden. (Madelein.vanHeerden@fabi.up.ac.za)
