Company Profile

Cropwatch Africa

Cropwatch Africa is an independent specialized Service Provider, with a focus to support government’s, stakeholders, and industries across Southern Africa to safeguard resources by ensuring that pests and diseases are detected as soon as possible before they have a chance to cause significant damage. Efficiently monitoring of pest populations and disease occurrences is the first line of defense against damage. Our Detection efforts increase the likelihood that pests and or diseases will be noticed successfully while populations or spread are still localized, and levels are not beyond that which can be contained or possibly eradicated.

In addition, the costs associated with eradication and control efforts are typically far more than those of long-term surveillance.

We have developed proprietary cloud and mobile based platforms to assist with the capturing, storage and geo-graphical display of all data in near real-time coupled with Satellite imagery and detailed reporting for Governments, Farmers, Researchers and Industries to make timely and actionable decisions.

Services:

  • Early Warning, Early Detection, Delimiting, Area-wide and on-site Surveillance
  • Damage assessments caused by natural disasters or wildlife
  • Regional Pest and Disease Surveillance – Cross Borders
  • Community Training and Awareness

  • Pest and Disease Risk Analysis
