First ICFR field day for 2013

A reminder of the first ICFR field day for 2013, which is one with a wattle focus. The programme has been developed in conjunction with wattle growers, particularly in the Central Region and the field day is open to anyone in the Industry interested in attending, so we hope you can join us on Wednesday 22 May at the Wittenberg Church, Moolman for this event.

Attached is the programme for this event.
  • The programme includes a presentation on some of the current issues facing wattle growers in the area.
  • There will also be talks on the ICFR's research into the cold tolerance of wattle as well as the latest data showing genetic gains from the production seed orchards at half rotation.
  • The programme includes two field stops; the first to a wattle seed orchard and the second to one of our genetic gain trials.
  • The last talk of the day will focus on climate change projections for the region with a particular focus on frost occurrence.
GPS co-ordinates are included with the programme.
