ICFR Occasional Seminar on Anomaly detection using Satellite technology

We are very excited to offer you an invitation to another ICFR Occasional Seminar, to be held at the ICFR in Pietermaritzburg.

The seminar is entitled Anomaly detection using satellite imagery: A University of California and will be given by ICFR's Dr Kabir Peerbhay on Wednesday 5 October 2016, at 14h45 for 15h00 -16h00 in the ICFR Conference Room, ICFR, Pietermaritzburg, UKZN, Carbis Rd.

Recently, Kabir Peerbhay was invited to attend and present a talk at what has been described as one of the most prestigious spatial technologies forums in the world.

This followed the recent publication of his paper in a highly rated journal in this field.

The Workshop on Hyperspectral Image and Signal Processing - Evolution in Remote Sensing (WHISPERS) is an event held annually by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Kabir will share highlights from his paper as well as his experiences in California - and highlight how this can contribute to valuable and exciting opportunities at the ICFR

More details are in the attached programme.

All are welcome to attend and please help us by passing this information on to any colleagues who may be interested in attending.

Please RSVP
for catering purposes by Monday 3 October.
