ICFR Occasional Seminar on Anomaly detection using Satellite technology

The seminar is entitled Anomaly detection using satellite imagery: A University of California
and will be given by ICFR's Dr Kabir Peerbhay
on Wednesday 5 October 2016, at 14h45 for 15h00 -16h00 in the ICFR Conference Room, ICFR, Pietermaritzburg

Recently, Kabir Peerbhay was invited to attend and present
a talk at what has been described as one of the most prestigious spatial
technologies forums in the world.
This followed the recent publication of his
paper in a highly rated journal in this field.
The Workshop on Hyperspectral
Image and Signal Processing - Evolution in Remote Sensing (WHISPERS) is an
event held annually by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
Kabir will share highlights from his paper as well as his experiences in
California - and highlight how this can contribute to valuable and exciting
opportunities at the ICFR
