Important Invitation to ALL in SA Forestry Sector

This is an invitation to everyone working in the South African Forestry Sector and related fields to join us for a very special event.

Sponsored by Sappi and Mondi, motivational speakers, Wiremu Lee Edmonds and his wife Marsella will be in Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal on Monday 10 November to give a repeat of the heartwarming and inspirational talk recently given at the Focus on Forest Engineering. Their presentation, entitled "Standing in the Gap", is focussed on personal experiences which have focussed their belief in the critical need to put safety aspects first and foremost in our business operations.

Wiremu worked in the New Zealand forestry industry for a number of years, first in silviculture then later joining the logging industry. After a career change Wiremu became involved in social services, working with many high risk youth and their families. Wiremu has a very strong value base and believes the most powerful qualification he holds is the one that is written upon his heart.

His background and experience within the Forestry Industry has allowed him take the lead in overseeing Team Ones Health & Safety Programmes with some of the largest Forestry companies in New Zealand. Wiremu is passionate about changing unsafe work practices within this Industry; and this has led to him becoming a sort after Keynote speaker around the country and overseas.

Please join us to hear Wiremu and Marsella share their story with you, it is guaranteed to touch your heart, and ensure that you realise the need for each of us to "Stand in the Gap".

Venue: Hilton College Theatre,
Date: Monday 10 November 2014
Time:14h00-16h00

Light snacks and refreshments will be available after the talk to allow time to meet and chat to Wiremu and Marsella.

Please RSVP to Sally Upfold 0825700851 or sally.upfold@icfr.ukzn.ac.za
