Industrial Timber Supplies was formed in 1992 to supply high quality wooden pallets to the market. A few select blue chip companies were targeted as the client base. We have gone to great lengths to satisfy the clients that had faith in our abilities and we have now become a top supplier to top companies. Product Description: 
Pallet Definition - A portable, horizontal, rigid platform used as a base for assembling, storing, stacking, handling and transporting goods as a unit load, often equipped with a superstructure.

ITS manufactures and assembles wooden pallets made to client requirements and specifications. Wooden pallets are a universal and critical part of product transportation in the economy. Clients need wooden pallets to transport their finished products along their distribution channels. Tonnes of product need to be moved around by forklifts quickly and effectively on a daily basis and wooden pallets are the solution of choice for this purpose globally. It is a widely adopted material handling solution because it is very cost effective to move significant volumes of goods easily. Pallet design becomes technical since it has to be fit for function and design parameters must be carefully applied to ensure the load bearing capacity (usually 800kg to 2500kg) has integrity. It is for this reason that ITS uses state of the art 3D software called The Pallet Design System from America to create optimum designs using safety factors that eliminate any chance of failure. We have a concise archive of all customer designs, which serves as the approved technical specifications. Pallets come in various configurations based on application and client preferences.

Our service offering revolves around superior quality, cost and delivery performance. Our own fleet of trucks provide dependable and consistent delivery, which is also lower than the cost of outsourcing the function. It is critical that we have reliable and stable delivery times based on customer call offs. We also offer a high degree of flexibility and customisation of pallet design to our client requirements and preferences There are 2 main types of pallet designs: Block and Stringer. Stringer pallets are more common in the US. Solid wood, block pallets cost more to manufacture than the equivalent strength stringer pallets. The principal advantage of block pallets is full access on all 4 sides for both forklifts and pallet jacks (full 4-way). Stringer pallets allow only forklift and pallet jack entry on the two sides(2-way).
