Upcoming  Mpumalanga Field Day - 3 December


Reminder of the invitation to attend our upcoming ICFR field day in Sabie, Mpumalanga on 3 December

DETAILS FOR SABIE FIELD DAY  

The programme includes:

  • Field visits to the ICFR's under-canopy burning and baboon monitoring trials as well as to KLF's pine hybrid trials at Tweefontein.

Indoor presentations
include

  • Understanding the cost of baboon damage as well as mapping and monitoring the extent of the damage
  • Research into spatial and behavioural ecology of baboons
  • Opportunities for integration of the forestry supply chain
  • Assessing terrain as a constraint to increased mechanisation in forestry
  • A role for under-canopy burning in pine plantations
  • A report-back on the 6th International Wildfire Conference
