Tree Improvement in Eucalyptus nitens - what have we learnt?

You are invited to the upcoming ICFR/SAIF Seminar entitled: "Tree improvement in Eucalyptus nitens - what have we learnt?"

By Dr Tammy Swain, ICFR

Dr Swain is a recognised leader in the area of research into breeding of South Africa's cold tolerant eucalyptus species, and tree improvement research of Eucalyptus nitens has been ongoing for a number of years.

This seminar will highlight Dr Swain's research through her recently awarded Phd study, into predicted and realised genetic gains and associated genetic parameters, the impact of these genetic parameters, as well as flowering and seed orchard factors, culminating in recommendations for further advanced generation breeding of the species.
