Sappi Joins ZDHC to Promote Textile Value Chain Sustainability

Sappi, a global leader in woodfibre-based renewable resources, today announced that it has joined the ZDHC Foundation Roadmap to Zero Programme, reinforcing its commitment to responsible chemical management for its global dissolving wood pulp operations.

Through its Sappi Verve brand, the company supplies the fashion industry with premium dissolving wood pulp (DWP), the renewable raw material behind soft, breathable fabrics used in everything from everyday apparel and professional wear to fashion and home textiles.

As a supplier of a raw material, Sappi recognises that driving more sustainable outcomes requires collaboration beyond its own operations. By joining ZDHC, the company strengthens its ability to work alongside fibre producers, manufacturers, brands and other Verve value chain partners to address shared challenges related to chemical management, water stewardship and greater supply chain transparency.
