Advocating for the role of forests in nature-based solutions

London Climate Action Week (LCAW) is Europe’s premier city‑wide climate festival, founded in 2019 by E3G and the Mayor of London. Each June, over 45,000 attendees converge on the capital to accelerate decarbonization, resilience and climate innovation – and inspire cities worldwide to replicate its success.

Forests and their stewards are indispensable partners in nature‑based solutions. At LCAW 2025, FSC will advocate for sustainable forest management as a cornerstone of climate action, forging alliances with NGOs, governments and financial institutions to build on our solutions, such as ecosystem services, Verified Impact, and climate finance.

FSC-certified forests protect and strengthen ecosystems, boosting carbon capture in trees, soils and biomass while preventing deforestation and degradation. Collaborating with Indigenous Peoples and local communities, our rigorous standards deliver measured environmental, social and economic benefits on the ground.
