Cut better, for longer, for less
STIHL .404″ Rapid Micro Harvester (RMHS) saw chain is designed for the demanding conditions of professional forestry. Harvester saw chains are subject to extreme conditions .
High loads result in cracks radiating from the rivet holes that may cause the chain to break. But forestry professionals have a trusted solution – STIHL RMHS.
STIHL .404″ Rapid Micro Harvester (RMHS) saw chain delivers a comfortable, smooth-running cutting performance, with reduced friction that minimises breakages and the resulting costs and downtime. A significant advantage is the impressively long service life – up to 70% more than standard chain!
The semi-chisel saw chain features slender, side-flattened tooth-shaped cutters, which ensure an increased cutting area entering the timber and reduces cutting resistance and pressure on the cutters, and also reduces the amount of sharpening required to maintain an optimal cutting action. The smooth action is assisted by the offset-faced depth gauge, which also reduces chain breakage, and the potential for chain-shot.
All parts on RMHS chain have been strengthened to minimise cracks and breakages. The parts that are under the most strain such as the drive links and rivets , are heavily reinforced. In addition, STIHL RMHS saw chain is thicker and more robust, with the wider surface area putting less concentrated downward force on the guide-bar, extending the service life of the chain, guide bar and sprocket.
Lubrication is essential for any hard-working machine, and the patented Oilomatic system on the drive links collects oil and better lubricates the saw chain by carrying the chain oil around the guide bar for even distribution – a feature exclusive to STIHL that reduces stretching chain.
STIHL .404″ Rapid Micro Harvester (RMHS) – the harvester chain for professionals.
Note: The STIHL .404″ Rapid Micro Harvester (RMHS) chain is not suitable for handheld chainsaws.
