The Doosan DX300LL-5 and DX380LL-5 road builders combine log-loader frames with excavator cabs, booms, and arms.
The log-loaders are outfitted with a package of features for clearing paths and building access roads for other machines and trucks to use. The excavator-boomed units can also be adapted to any task, such as harvesting, with the appropriate attachments.
The DX300LL-5 and DX380LL-5 have a high, wide undercarriage to clear stumps and brush. Doosan outfits the pair with full-length guiding guards to protect their tracks from branches and debris.
A forestry cab is an optional replacement for the DX300LL-5’s and DX380LL-5’s enclosed excavator cab. Extra cab guarding is also available. Both machines support DoosanCONNECT telematics for wireless reporting of their locations and status.
Suitable Doosan attachments include a hydraulic quick-coupler, a hydraulic thumb, heavy-duty and severe-duty buckets, and a ditch-cleaning bucket.
The road-building edition of the Doosan DX300LL-5 is a 36,700kg machine with a 271hp engine. The machine is equipped with a 1,6-cubic-meter bucket and has a maximum ground reach of 10,4m and a maximum digging depth of seven meters.
The larger DX380LL-5 road builder weighs in at 48,300kg. It is a 237kW unit with a 1,8 cubic metres bucket capacity. It can reach out to 10,9m at ground level, and it can dig down to 7,16m.
Doosan also sells a road builder version of its smaller, 162,8hp, 31,200kg model DX225LL-5 log loader.
