WS have successfully installed a weighing system on a reach stacker in a log loading operation in the Old Airport container yard. Accuracies of 99.5% and better have been achieved and speed of loading greatly increased due to time savings by not having to move the container to a weighbridge for checking. Container information is sent directly from the machine to the cloud based reporting system where VGM dockets can be issued. The system is NRCS approved pending final signoff which has been delayed due to the lockdown. Client has already placed order for next system based on the performance of this one. Container yard managers will be able to greatly increase the throughput of trucks as there is no longer stand times at the weighbridge and returns for reweighing.
