Safire opens Pretoria office

Safire is proudly opening an office in Pretoria, Tshwane, an important economic hub and the fourth largest city economy in the country.

The new Safire office is located at Eastwood Office Park in Lynwood Ridge, about 11km east of Pretoria’s city centre, a spacious facility offering a totally modern workplace.

The Pretoria office will be fully operational by 1 March 2024 and will be run and managed by Safire’s Head of Data, Nadia Jones, who is already based in Pretoria. Nadia joined Safire in November 2018, and over the past five years has developed an in-depth understanding of the company and its products, culture and core values.

This new office also serves as an important initiative to attract and harness the wealth of talent that Gauteng has to offer. Safire is dedicated to continually refining and expanding its team, seeking to add fresh perspectives, skills and innovative ideas to the Safire Group.

“Safire is growing at a rapid yet sustainable rate, so this expansion into an area that offers a broad talent pool is very exciting,” says Megan Stella, Chief Operating Officer at Safire.

When asked about this new undertaking, Nadia said, “Safire is a dynamic and accomplished organisation, constantly striving to improve our array of products and services. This expansion, to one of South Africa’s key and fast-growing metropolitan areas, ensures that we can consistently deliver high-quality service with a distinctive personal touch to our esteemed brokers, clients, and business partners.”

The new office is being referred to as a ‘technical hub’, as Nadia explains: “The focus is on attracting people with specialised, insurance-based expertise such as technical commercial underwriters and claims handlers, data analysts who work with automation, power bi, sql etc – skills that we are currently struggling to locate.”
