TIPWG Webinar is a big success
Timber Industry Pesticide Working Group (TIPWG) Webinar receives great feedback!
“The TIPWG webinar far surpassed all expectations in terms of attendance and the quality of information shared. The TIPWG website is an amazing resource, which is somewhat under-utilised by FSA members. After this webinar, I am certain this will no longer be the case. Jacqui Meyer, Roger Poole and the rest of the team are doing an incredible job and should really take on board the amazing feedback the webinar has generated. Going forward, this will become an annual event as part of FSA’s ongoing commitment to knowledge transfer and promoting responsible and efficient pesticide use.” – Dr Ronald Heath, FSA Director Research and Protection
TIPWG’s first webinar event, bar a few technical glitches, went off without a hitch and received highly positive feedback from the Forestry Sector and beyond.
The webinar attracted an audience of nearly 100, which included representatives of the Forestry Sector, pesticide industry, academic and research institutions, as well as the media. It provided an overview of the TIPWG’s mandate, a 101 guide to their website (view below), an introduction to TIPWG funded research and the opportunity to learn more about the current review of the Forest Stewardship Council’s South African National Standard.
Webinar recordings will be made available in the coming days on the FSA YouTube channel, which can be accessed via the button below. For FSA members, all the presentations can be found in the presentation section of the Member’s Area Page of the TIPWG website – for those not already registered for Member’s Area access please click on the button below.
