Chuma Wildfire and Conservation Services cc was started in 2003 as a close corporation in the fields of Wildfire Investigations; Integrated Fire management; Fire Risk assessment and Conservation Consulting.

Through the years we have built up a substantial knowledge base in the field and strive to deliver a constant service of high standard in Southern Africa.

• Wildfire Investigations:
  Determining Origin; Cause and Spread of Wildfires in all biomes and Fuel classes
  We operate according to international standards in the industry and is currently affiliated to the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI) International; International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI); Association of Fire Ecology as a Wildland Fire Ecologist.
  The executive member is a current wildland fire investigator and certified Fire and explosion investigator with field and legal experience.
• Fire Risk and Safety Assessments and Management plans:
  This service is done in accordance to the Veldfire Act (Act 101 of 1997); South African Labour laws; OHSA to comply with the acts and to prevent or mitigate damages and injuries from fire related operations
  Members are trained and experienced in Conservation; Forestry; Forestry conservation; Integrated fire management; Incident command. Members are affiliated to the International Association of Wildland Fire (IAWF); Afrifire.net; Association of Fire ecology as wildland fire managers
• Conservation Advisory Service
  This service aims at land owners to assist in the management of natural resources; biodiversity; Soil conservation; water conservation.
  The members are educated and experienced in all aspects of Conservation; Forerstry Forestry Conservation; wildland and plantation fire management; Prescribed burning operations; Environmental education

  We can provide accredited on site training in integrated fire management; Conservation Project management; Forestry management; Practical Leadership in partnership with accredited partners
