This year from 24th to 30th September, we invite you to participate in the FSCTM Forest Week campaign with the Forest Stewardship CouncilTM (FSC). The campaign highlights the value of forests and how choosing sustainably-sourced products can help create resilient forests for the future.
The theme of the campaign this year is “Choose Forests. Choose FSC.” By choosing FSC-certified products, you are helping to protect forests and all the life they sustain.
Forests play a key role in combatting climate change and supporting biodiversity. Many products and daily necessities come from forests. Therefore, FSC promotes sustainable forest management so forests and people can thrive. FSC provides the world’s most rigorous and trusted forest certification system and is trusted by NGOs, businesses and consumers to help protect healthy, resilient forests for all, forever.
Takespride in supporting sustainable management of the world’s forests by:
- purchasing FSC certified products or products in FSC certified packaging in your homes;
- obtaining FSC certification to pass on the FSC Chain-of-custody claim to your customer;
- applying for an FSC promotional licence to show your commitment to using or reselling already FSC certified products or materials. Many of our leading retailers have done this.
During FSC Forest Week, we will celebrate our commitment to forests, and encourage consumers and all other stakeholders to be forest stewards themselves.
